Custom PET PORTAIT

I offer two kinds of pet portrait, pencil on paper and acrylic paint on canvas.

My acrylic pet portraits are hand-painted on a stretched canvas with acrylic paint onto stretched canvases which are ready to hang on your wall as soon as you receive your painting! For my pencil on paper portraits I use 300gsm+ cotton paper and high quality coloured pencils. Paper portraits include a simple frame in the cost so the piece is ready to hang when you receive it. If you live interstate or internationally and do not wish to have it framed for safe travel, just let me know when you book in.

For every pet portrait, I paint exactly what I see from the photo of your pet. If you need something left out (like a collar or pet harness) please let me know in advance.

WHAT PETS CAN I PAINT?

I can paint any animal! Examples: Dogs, Cats, Horses, Rabbits, Birds, Reptiles, etc.

I want to provide the BEST results, so that my painting reaches your expectations! In order for me to do that, please read over the important information below to help make your ordering process as easy as possible!

PHOTOS OF YOUR PET

I paint directly from the photo that you choose of your pet for the painting. It is super important to choose a photo that captures your pet how you see/remember them. I don't know your pet personally, so a good quality photo helps tremendously when painting your pet. The higher quality the photo is, the more realistic your painting will turn out. 

What do I look for when receiving the photos?

1.) CLEAR- Great quality is everything! Blurry photos are almost impossible to paint.

2.) BRIGHT/NATURAL LIGHTING- Photos taken outdoors are preferred. Please no photos with a filter or flash (these take away from the true coloring in your pet's fur and facial features.)

3.) CLOSE UP SHOTS- From your pet’s chest up or fully body.

I love being able to see every little detail in the eyes and nose- these really bring the painting to life.

BACKGROUND COLOuRS

I paint a solid background color behind the portrait of your pet(s). I can paint any color that you would like! Not sure what color would look best? I can always recommend a colour!

Sending a photo of the color you would like is a great way for me to match it.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

I require a 50% deposit at the time of placing your order before work begins. The remainder is due once the piece is complete and you have seen a photo and signed off on it. Bank transfer is the easiest way to pay. If you require another way please get in touch.
 

wait times

Pieces take around 6 weeks to complete. You will be notified when you book with me how long I expect the piece to take. If you require an earlier turn around, please let me know, rush costs may be added depending on the timing.
Once your painting is complete, I will send you a picture to make sure everything is how you pictured it to be!

SHIPPING

Pieces can be collected from Mamlsbury or Newport, Victoria. If you are unable to collect the artwork yourself postage is available by request. Small works generally cost around $25 to post.
